Hi, I wanted to upgrade my B980 Pentium to a I5-3210m or a I5-2410m but it is Not possible. I Tried both cpu‘s But every 30 minutes the Laptop turns off. Only with the original B980 the laptop works fine. And I also updated the BIOS. What could that be? Has Samsung their hands on it?

Their could be several reasons. It may not be able to handle the heat, unclean power at the added needs of the new CPU, inadequate CAPs or other components, etc..

Overheating is no problem. 62 degrees under load. That‘s the first time I upgraded a CPU in a Laptop and it don‘t work.

good tohear overheating is not an issue. There are plenty of other reasons for the failure.

Thats related to Intel ME, there is the cleanME project on github, remove the ME from a BIOS image and then re-flash it and it should work without shutting down.
