since there is still no thread here, nobody is buying samsung notebooks anymore??

i have the normal 15" pro model, not the 360.
mostly i bought it because of the weight and the amoled display.
both dont disappoint. what does disappoint is again with this model the ****ty fan, even when you do little to nothing or just a movie it starts spinning. and when it spins there is a totally annoying high pitch whistle sound. no idea if this i by design or just my samsung.
absolutely inacceptible, cant believe this. how can this go into production if that is not only my specific nb!

otherwise i would be okey with this for now.

also charging via usb-c is somehow capped at around 30w it seemes?
somebody knows a solution for this? is it the driver maybe?

also there are no drivers or firmware on the webpage.
anybody knows if one can get all the drivers, especially for config software/keys/fan modes seperately?

edit: starting the samsung update lets you also download the drivers to a folder first..

I was considering buying one simply because of the screen but after my experience with Chrome OS, I will never be touching anything which has Chrome OS on it. Basically, it's just a big phone with a keyboard, you can't really use it for anything productive other than watching some movies and browse the web and some social media this is my experience only so....

Chrome OS - What a disappointment

    ohh my bad

I just checked Samsung's website, they haven't listed any drivers yet, just the user manual.

Samsung hasn't posted drivers on their website in many years. You have to download them using the Samsung Update utility (formerly called SW Update). Check the following from our Samsung sticky:

Admittedly, I am far behind as my last Sammy is now very old (but still in service). I don't know if the linked Samsung Update utility also works for the latest models. The fact that it isn't listed on their website makes me suspect you have to use a pre-installed app to download drivers and updates.

Windows Store also lists a Samsung Update app, maybe it is the same as the linked utility.

I was reading a review which suggests to opt for the 13" model, which apparently is not affected by a pixelation effect due to a "low" resolution 1080 and large physical display.. I am not sure if the reviewer was only complaining for a lack of 4k support or?
My current good old laptop DELL Latitude E6520 has same screen size and same resolution.... no pixelation at all.

    Your thoughts?

I am considering the 360 5g model when it comes out but can't find any information on which 5g bands the laptop will be using to make sure my cell providers service is fully supported. Does anyone have any ideas where I might find this information? It doesn't appear to be on Samsung's US website.

I picked one up on the weekend (15"). Was happy enough with my xps13, but a family member has requested a new computer and initiated a hand me down procedure that see me ending up with one of these. The fan is a bit noisy especially plugged in, but I seem to have calmed it down after installing latest drivers from Samsung Update, selecting balanced fan in Samsung Settings with the audio mic box ticked and using it mainly on battery power.

I've only charged it once since it's been out the box, did seem a bit slow, but can't really comment just yet.

I'm happy enough with the screen, the vivid colours outweigh the pixel count, especially on a screen this size.

Overall though I'm happy to back with a Samsung, its very light and thin for a 15" and reminds me of my X3C days

Another little helpful update, the most recent bios update bricked the display brightness keys giving only 3 positons on the scale, so booted into the bios on startup and rolled it back from there. All has been well since.

Also holding out on windows 10 as I can't function without never combine on the taskbar :)

i bought also one, but i had a colorful "aura" around letters..
no idea if thats typical for oled or just that particular screen.
do you notice this too on yours?

also the opening angle with 140° is also really not my cup of tea.
and the fans were active too much when just surfing etc.
at the end i didnt keep it..
