Ah so my normal HD is under that metal plate? Damn was so hoping to add the 2.5". Is it just as easy to add an M.2?

Super easy, dismantle as before, remove the solitary screw in an emtpy M.2 space, insert new M.2 PCIe SSD, hold down and replace screw.

And swap the HDD for that 850 SATA SSD if you are keeping it ;)

Sorry one more question: I assume I have to format it like any new HD? This wont be replacing anything I just need more space on my pc

Just to make this as idiot proof as possible (as i'm braindead with this type of stuff) is this where I insert an m.2? And when I receive the m.2 will it come with bits to screw it in?

Yes, spot on. Remove the small silver screw with the marker pen mark on it.

I've screwed it in and everything and gone to disk management but I can't seem to find it to format it. Have i missed a step?

Edit: Its showing on Samsung Magician and in hardware just not in my computer and in disk management

Odd, I'm not sure why it's not showing in Disk Management.

    Hopefully someone else can help.

Edit: You have the Samsung driver installed?

No option seemed to come up for a driver. Do I need to go to the samsung website and find it? On the samsung magician program it says firmware version up to date does that mean anything?

Edit: This is my disk management
