    Cheaper

Samsung 830 Series MZ-7PC128B/WW 128GB Internal Solid State Drive - 2.5 Form Factor, SATA III 6Gb/s, Up to 320MB/s Write and 520 MB/s Read at TigerDirect.com

Mate Micocentre charge me $12.92 Tax on 256 GB, So the total amount was 171.92. This was really awful thing happened to me, after few minutes get cancellation mail due availability issue. I was very happy and I order $179.99 with Laptop kit and added $4.13 for fast shipping.

Good prices on a quality ssd. Have the 840s come out yet? I bet prices will drop further once they do :)

What is the difference between Bulk and the Kit? What exactly does the kit do, or is it just manuals and drivers? If so can I download the drivers online?

Bulk and Kit: bare drive vs. cloning kit (software + hardware). No 'drivers' needed for SSD's.

Not really OEM/Bulk since the drive is still in retail packaging. I think the B probably stands for Basic.

    B/WW (Basic): SSD only
D/AM (Desktop): SSD, SATA cable, Molex to SATA power cable, 3.5" to 2.5" drive bay adapter, Norton Ghost
N/AM (Notebook): SSD, SATA to USB adapter, drive spacer, Norton Ghost

I just bought a samsung 830 128 gb and tried to install it in my HP DM4 using a caddy to move the mechanical drive to the optical bay, but..

With just the SSD the computer boots very fast. But when I put the mechanical drive in the caddy it takes 10 min to boot. Tthe mechanical drive does show in “my computer” but not with capacity and the computer freezes when I try to open the drive.

I tried to limit the speed to 1.5 gb with a jumper without success.

I also tired to put the SSD in the caddy and it shows up in “my computer” with capacity and sometimes I can see the files but other times the computer just freezes.

    Any ideas / suggestions ?
