I bought my NP8657-S early last summer, and I really have had nothing but issues with it. I had dead pixels on the first two devices that they sent me, and the third and current one is just honestly garbage. I never measured when I got it, but it currently IDLES at ~80 C. Thats beyond insane. The cpu fan used to work, and now the excessive heat has melted either the solder or the wires themselves, and it no longer works. The only way that I discovered these issues in the first place is because of the insane amount of screen issues I've been having. The screen will rapidly change color, blink black and grey, and create vertical and horizontal lines of every color. Its often solved by a light tap to the side of the frame, but Its honestly not a problem I should be having with a 1500$ laptop.

Is anybody else having this ****ty of luck with Sager Support and their products in general? Its really infuriating having to manage school and freelance work with a device that I can't put my hands near the left side of, or cant see from.

Sounds like they forgot to put thermal paste between the CPU and the heatsink. I wouldn't run it anymore until it's fixed. Just gonna cause more harm if you do. I just reapplied thermal paste to mine 3 days ago and it dropped my temps tremendously. It was idling fine but under stress tests, I was getting up around 87c.
