You'll only be sure when Nvidia announces it.

As far as I'm aware all the current PF51 laptops have lost the TB3, per-key keyboard, etc. Sounds like they're all probably the same as the MC version now. The PB71s all retain those lost features though which is really weird.

@Meaker@Sager How are the temps on the PC70 compared to the PB71. Wife's looking for a new laptop and between those two.

Not had a look yet to be honest. Usually the thicker chassis will be cooler.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought (only the 17incher has the extra features), but the microcenter listing/review says otherwise. I was surprised at the price difference $1549 with the extra features vs $1699 without.

For the record I have the 15inch sager version. I tried the 17, but the fit and finish was lacking.

The MC PB71 lacks the extra features as well. But most of the rest (Sager, Xotic, ProStar, etc) have the full featured 17".

I have 15 Sager as well, the first iteration with the 8750H, and love it aside from getting higher temps than alot of others. Dont think my heatsink makes good contact but nothing I do seems to help. I'm mostly fine if I keep the FPS locked at 60. Might wait till the 30xx laptops release eventually and upgrade to the PBxx replacement.

MC do special editions for themselves, usually with bits stripped out to help lower the price.

Looks like we're finally getting some 1440p panels with the new 3000 series laptops.

It has been a few years, mine is one that had the compromises to get there.

Does anyone have the exact measurements for thermal pads for the different parts of the heatsink of the PB51DF? The thermals of the 10875H are awful even with undervolt. So I'm hoping fully replacing the pads with Gelid Exteme/Ultimate will help spread the heat better.

It looks like there's a 3mm pad in some spots. But if anyone has already done a replacement, it will save me the time taking it apart and measuring before ordering.

You can find slight variations from unit to unit so if you can measure it that can be for the best.
