    Hey, everyone!

I got my new Sager NP6852 today! But I'm having trouble with a couple things.

    This is my new laptop.

On my old laptop, you were able to scroll with one finger on the right side of the touchpad. So far on this one, you can only scroll on the left side with two fingers and you can get to this setting through Windows 10 settings under devices. I can't seem to find the actual touchpad software or program to change anything. All I can find is the settings in the Windows 10 settings. Am I doing something wrong and is there a way to fix this issue?

Also, it turns out there's an Intel graphics card along with the Nvidia one. How do I make sure the Nvidia is the default one that my programs will use?

I hope I posted this in the right place and thank you for any help.

If I recall correctly, the Synaptics touchpad software - where you would normally configure gestures - has been done away with in favor of controlling things through Windows 10. This has been the case with other devices that had proprietary software back in Win 7, too (e.g. the webcam and the fingerprint reader).

As for NVidia: You can designate which graphics chip to use through the NVidia Control Panel > Manage 3D applications.

Does this model have a setting in the BIOS to disable Optimus?

    Nope, just the P65/67xx models.

    Thank you for your replies!

Does that mean I can't change these settings? Because even the two finger drag isn't really working.

How are you employing the gesture? It should be that you move two fingers up or down, not keep one in place and move the second finger.

I'm using two fingers and moving them together, but still it hardly registers the action :(

I'm having another issue, a BIG issue and I didn't want to clog the forum with another thread. I hope it's okay to ask it here. I was on my laptop which is currently compressing the hard-drive and all of a sudden my screen dimmed. Then it went back to normal and then did it a few times in a row after like 5 minutes. WHAT'S GOING ON? I'm freaking out here and would really appreciate any help.

Try reinstalling, or updating, your touchpad driver.

No worries. Did you have your AC adapter connected? Or running on battery when this happened?

I did what you suggested and downloaded the drivers/software from both the Synaptics site, which didn't work, and the Sager site. It seems to be working a little now, but it seems like a crapshoot.

It was plugged in but hasn't done it since. I think it's okay now.

    I'M SO FRUSTRATED.

I've been trying to access the color settings in the Nvidia control panel, but options to change the colors, resolution, ect. don't even show up. All that is there is adjust image settings with preview, manage 3D settings, and configure surround, PhysX. I'm pretty sure my desktop display is still using the Intel card because when I go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display> Change display settings> Advanced display settings> Display adapter properties it says Intel HD Graphics 630. How do I change that so I can get to the display/color settings through Nvidia?

    Thank you
