Yeah the "D" means that the wireless card is not the intel brand. This is not a big deal. It wont be called centrino, but that doesnt matter.

Look at a model besides the $1499 base model and I think you will find it.

It's a $100 option when you select the upgrades you want. Notice that if you purchase with AMEX, you get a year free, so that's another option.

It does not appear that Fujitsu, Portable One, or anyone selling the S7010D (or any other Fujitsu's) offers any "accidental damage" coverage, other than LCD protection???
Is this the case (that it is not offered)???

    Thanks,

No, I've never seen it offered. Although, it's come up in several forums that you might want to get some accident coverage from a regular insurance company as they offer better deals will just give you money for with which you can buy a new computer. I haven't checked this out myself but others wrote about it.

    Hi guys,

just found this site after searching for a comparison between these two models

My wife and I both needed new laptops so I actually have both the 6210 and 7010. I really like the screen on the 6210 and its easier to use outside, whereas my wife likes the thinner 7010. Both are very good but just wanted to post this so you guys can ask me comparison questions as I have both sidebyside.

    I'm also the past owner of the S6120...yes I like fujitsu's :)

fireball, if you had to pick one of them as your overall favorite, which would it be? Since you are a fujitsu expert, is there anything special youve learned that you would like to share with fellow fujitsu owners?

    911fireball:

Do you have the S7010D model, or an earlier S7010 ???

Does the keyboard have much flex, as has been reported ???
How flexible is the casing around the screen, does anything feel flimsy in any way???

    Thanks,

    Andrew
