I have a GT80 SLI, I get that the runtime was never a priority, I get 1.5 hours at max.

Does the GT73VR 6RE have any better runtime?

That's for light usage, not heavy duty gaming.

Just by the basic nature of the machine your asking about should have a better battery life. @Falkentyne should be able to give a better idea though

I have no idea as I don't use the battery. You also can't compare an SLI and a non SLI system, nor do I have any idea whatsoever how much power the "SLI" system uses when the cards are castrated on battery power.

I guess the battery would be newer but otherwise 980m and 1070 have the same power draw.
