I’ve been reading around here a lot and it seems like no two rtx laptops are created equal.

I’ve been looking into a 17” laptop with a 2070 which I believe is the full 2070. There are no reviews yet. The power adapter that comes with it is 150 watts. It seems as though other comparable brands are at least 180 if not 200+ watts for the 2070.

Does this mean that either the 2070 in the EVOC is crippled, or there will just be no room at all for overclocking?

Sorry if this is a stupid question or posted in the wrong forum.

What laptop are you looking at exactly?
You can always call and ask what power supply it actually comes with, Hidevolution should be able to answer your question.
If it’s the model I think it is ( 16.1 “ screen model ) they come with RTX 2070 MQ and a 180W powerbrick according to CLEVO’s main website.

I don't know what model you are looking at but keep in mind sometimes there are placeholders until actual availability. If you have a specific question regarding HIDevolution, be sure to contact @Donald@HIDevolution

It could be a placeholder but it’s listed as 150W

The product page for the PB71 seems to not be finalized. Here's a comparison between the PB71's spec sheet and the GS75's

    PB71.jpg GS75.jpg

There's a lot of "N/A - more info coming soon" in the specs and a "Specifications subject to slight changes" right at the "Quick Overview" at the top of the product page.
My guess is PSUs will probably be something like 180W for RTX 2060 and 230W for RTX 2070. If you wish clarification on the issue best bet would be to contact @Donald@HIDevolution directly.
