Also HID called me up and figured out it was the Mobo. Bullet dodged on that GPU shyt. If you have any 8th/9th gen CPUs lying around I might take that off your hands. Need to sate my dependency on the latest Windows.

Similar TDP to 7700K, wanna part with it when I get my comp back? Looking for one where I don't have to mod the heatsink if possible.

It's a nice sample, mine ran 5Ghz on a dynamic voltage -100mV offset but that was with a custom lid that kind of died when I tried to mod it for my existing chip. But it can run a lot cooler at say 4.7Ghz and still give most of the performance and be efficient.

Let me know if you are interested with a message.

Based on your message to me I would say focus would be on the GPU next, do they have one to test in it?

I'm surprised they don't have a chip about.

So just got an update it turns out that the CPU was also dead as a door nail. Can 6700ks work in z270 boards? Otherwise I may have to source another 7700k.

Should work. And you have also Prema firmware from what I can see. Be happy you don't have BGA:)

Amen to that. Though when I get it back I’m modding the heck out of that BIOS and putting in a nice 8086k.
