Hi there. I recently bought a replacement power supply (noname brand) for my GL702ZC so I would not have to carry it between work and home. Both the laptop and the power supplies for it are monsters -- huge and heavy.

Anyway, the new adaptor switches off then on often while playing a game.
I am guessing that it cannot keep up with the demand. I am a hacker at heart, so I was wondering if adding an active cooling to the brick would help. I could take the power supply apart and add cooling.. Any ideas? has anyone done anything crazy like that?
    Thanks, -t

Honestly just get a proper one instead. it's rather dangerous what you're donig right now, the PSU can blow up your notebook.

But yes, I had the same issue on my P375SM-A, bad cable on my Power supply caused my system to shutdown on overclock.

The ASUS Store should have a 180 or 230W power adapters that fits your model available.

There is no space inside a laptop power brick to add anything, its full to the brim with the actual PSU.
