    my replacement should be here wensday due to backlight bleed , can i just pull my ssd driver from current laptop and pop in the new one when it arrives ?

    all same parts / specs.

    or will the cd key some how not work. win 10 home

    The product key code, or whatever MS calls it, is embedded in BIOS. So, unless Dell flashes the BIOS with your old product key code to the new laptop, you may run into some problems. You'd have to check with Dell to see if the new laptop contains the original windows 10 product key code. the have to imbed the product key when they swap motherboards or if you purchased the upgrade to Win 10 Pro, so it is certainly not out of the question for them to imbed the original product key on the new laptop. I am sure there are folks here who have gone through the process and can comment on what their experience has been.

    ^^ That's true. In the other hand, the OS and drivers should have no issues to run on an exact copy of the machine.
