    Hi

Most of the games i currently play are graphically intensive and need a hi spec pc to run them.

Are there any games that people recommend thar run comfortably on a modern though basic notebook.I play many different kinds of game so genres not so important as the fun factor.

    Thanx

    Welcome to the forum,

Try Trackmania Nations ESWC(free) -arcade-racing game. "New" game and great graphic yet somehow runs okay on my old(ancient) laptop

recently iv been enjoyin COD2 which when in dx7 mode (still looks fanastic!) can be played with full settings and at a nice speed on this laptop. So should scale down nicely on other laptops.

Halo Combat Evolved runs fine on integrated graphics. It and many other games can easily be torrented.

Well I just started playing WarCraft III - The Frozen Throne again. I think it's a great game to play, so try it out if you've never played it before.
    It's an RTS.

If you want to play online with me just PM me here and we can play sometimes.

Be aware of the fact that "Trackmania Nations ESWC" doesn't work on Vista, because of the stupid StarForce incomparability with Vista, I've tried, but with no luck, even with updates for both the game and StarForce.

Age of Empires II is pretty cool. It'll even run on integrated graphics.

Age of empires 2 run even without 3d acceleration

Quake 3 is also a fun game, we play it in my house, where two of the four computers have intel extreme 2. need for speed most wanted run quite well on gma 950, and somewhat run on the other 2, with minimun details, resolution and bad fps

    Thanx Guys.

I have AOE2 and the Conquerors expansion and also WOW3.
I'll try them out on my PB R1938.

Tried Virtual pool 3 and keeps crashing to desktop even in software mode.

Try Diablo II, Warcraft III, Sid Meier's Pirates (Some texture issue with Intel GMA cards on earlier versions, apply the latest patch and it'll be gone), Starcraft Broodwar (beats AoE II any day imo), Civilization III, Original Commandos games, Quake 2... If you're adventure game fan, most of the better games of that genre are quite old so there will be no problem at all running them: Grim Fandango, Siberia, Monkey Island series etc..
