    Hello

Does anyone know how the following compare with regard to battery life?
    1. 1080p screen with GTX 1650 Max-Q
    2. 4K screen with GTX 1650 Max-Q
    3. 4K screen downscaled to 1080p with GTX 1650 Max-Q
I really dislike matte screens, but 4 hours of battery life is just too little... I really prefer a minimum of 6 hours

I read that Ice Lake has 'integer scaling', so 1080p on the 4K screen should look just as sharp
And according to a reddit post, the GTX 1650 Max-Q also supports supports integer scaling

    Can anyone please help?

you want battery life you do not get high rez screens.

Even rending at 1080p, its still powering 4k pixels. Battery life tanks. You want better battery life, get a 1080p screen.

obviously, with or without the 1650, without the 1650 will be more battery life, but the laptop probably has Optimus in it, so you'll probably get your 6 hours or more.

TBH a 4k screen on a 13.3" device is a bit comical to me. Pixel density is already so high at 1080p. 4k is just silly. Maybe at 15.6", maybe at 17.3" ... but 13.3? Doubt you need it.
