I used this Amazon.com: ZTC Thunder Board M.2 (NGFF) SSD to SATA III Board Adapter. Multi Size Fit with High Speed 6.0GB/s. Model ZTC-AD001: Computers & Accessories and then a Sata to Usb adapter which are pretty standard. Then just boot into Clonezilla or another cloning application before swapping any parts, clone to the new SSD via USB, swap, and go to windows disk management to expand the drive. You can then use the M.2 adapter to make use of your smaller drive in another desktop or a USB enclosure or whatever.
