Hey Does any already upgrade their SSD on their blade.
So i ordered the 256gb and its on the way to me and i really need larger space for my files and stuffs.I want to replace my stock SSD when my blade arrive. im thinking M550 Crucial is it ok?
    I need about 512gb or 1Tb
or any other SSD that fits with blade. i need the best Speed on this machine.
PS: I have no knowledge about SSD's and sorry for my bad English.

I don't own a razer blade but I do own an edge and I replaced the 128gb SSD with the samsung 1tb msata, I think it's an m2 as well but I'm not clear on what the real difference is. It works fine on the edge pro though

Woah on that's a long chip I didn't realize the m2 was that long. I definitely can't fit that on the edge pro lol… no space in length.

As for the blade I'm not sure at this point since I didn't see the area where it goes.

That's definitely a different looking connector than the msata connector for the Edge. They don't match. If your SSD is long like that amazon one and the connectors look like that one then it should work.

I swapped in an M550, went fine, performance seems fine. To get the black video cable just gently pull the tab. To get the ribbon there is a little place for your fingernail in the black part, pull up and remove the ribbon. Swapping the HDD is quick, unscrew it, lift up a bit and pull out. Do everything in reverse and voila.

I used Clonezilla to clone the drive and then just extended it within Windows. Whole process took less than an hour and now I have a nice 512GB and an extra 256GB to use elsewhere. Costs me basically the same as buying the 512GB straight-up.

Thanks very much for confirming this. In these early days of M.2 it's people like yourselves that help fill the gaps of knowledge in terms of what works and what doesn't.
