    Hey Guys,

Just got an issue with my laptop.
Battery started swelling and I had to remove it.
But I think that the swelling caused some screws to strip the screwhole and I got 5 different screw holes that won't get screwed in (tried several screws and they just keep on spinning)

I will order a replacement battery but do you guys know how I could fix the screw holes? cause my panel is only scewed on the top right side and all the screws on the bottom left sides are unscrewable.

If the threads are stripped there may not be alot you can do. You could put a but of lock tight on the screws and kind of "GLUE" then in place. I'd be careful going this route as it might be hard to get them back out if needed.

The only thing you can try is too tap a larger screw size into those holes after cleaning them out

I wanna get a super portable second laptop, found razer blade pro 14 with 7700hq and 1060. Is it good one? Any common issues or some failers after longtime use? Like GPU or chips melting or required reballing and some other stuff, or this device is pretty reliable?

In my opinion non of the 14inch Razers are really reliable. THey are still from the era where there was a lot of battery bloat, also the charging circuits dont appear to be that great, they run really hot etc. So I wouldnt go for it.

Contrary to other replies, the 7700HQ Blade in my experience has been the most reliable Blade I've ever owned, and I have purchased 3 of this exact model over the years. It's by far my favorite Blade design. It is much more portable that the 15 Blade. I have not had a single failure on this version of Blade.

I still own one today that is running as good as the day I got it. The other two I sold or passed on to family. The 4th gen Intel and older Blades were definitely plagued with issues.

Guess I’ve got another idea, instead of buying a used one I would like to buy a broken one :) Yeah this may sound silly but the price is really cheap. Used one will cost me 700 bucks and broken one will cost around 200 or 300.

The main question is what is the usual issues with broken razors from 2016-2017. If dead CPU or GPU is a common thing than that will be a bad idea. But if it is something about the fried voltage regulators then I’ve got a friend who will fix this for just nothing.

The initial description for this lot on eBay sounds like “Stopped working and does not turn on anymore.”

From what I saw mostly broken charging circuits, dead batteries, broken ram, broken GPU memory and dead GPU's.

This channel has a lot of useful information

    Hi Folks,

My BETTY4 11.4V 6160mAh battery has gone through the dreaded bulge death and I'm looking for a replacement. Seen a number of various options online for purchase from either the US or China but also seen a number of warnings about bad quality knock-offs doing the rounds. Any recommendations on where to buy a good quality replacement (don't care if it's OEM) and ideally somewhere with shipping from Europe to avoid custom shenanigans (UK based).

    Thanks!
