I'm considering a laptop with a "1GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics(TM)" video card in it. I cannot find any information about how good this card is online. Can anyone give me some idea of this card's gaming performance? Does it come close to the Geforce 560M?

    Thanks ^.^

It's a rebranded 6770m so just look up infromation about the 6770m. Should be much easier.

And no, it's not going to be close to a 560m but it should still be a decent performer.

    560m scores 1.8k from 3dmark 11
    7690m scores 1.2k from 3dmark 11

Yes, it is pretty much a slightly overclocked 6770m. I have one, I can play Left 4 Dead 2 on max, Civ 5 on High.

It can handle modern games on medium/high and demanding games like Battlefield 3 probably on low.

    So,
    Between:
HP Pavilion DV7-6c06ev with AMD Radeon HD 7690M XT (GDDR5 2 GB)
    and
Dell XPS 17 (L702X) with nVidia GeForce GT 555M (3GB)
What should i choose as best for fps games like BF3 ?
The HP has 1600x900 resolution and the Dell has 1920x1080.
I think that HP will have more fps cause resolution.

They are pretty much similar in terms of performance power at the same settings. You are correct in your assumption about the native resolution though. Personally I'd prefer a Full HD screen on a 17 inch model.

Go for the one with the better screen. You can always game at a lower resolution. When doing anything other than gaming, you'll really appreciate the extra real estate of the larger screen and the higher quality of it.
