Is it possible to update the Intel drivers on a R1 without screwing up the nVidia drivers? Dell's latest release is using a much older version of the Intel driver.

I believe that the Intel driver on the m11x is part of the nvidia driver so it's pretty unlikely, if you go to the device manager you'll see it's using the same driver as the 335M...

I've put a request in to engineering to see if we can get an update for this, but I need help with the specific problems you guys are seeing. Exactly steps to reproduce will be very helpful. Reply here or send me a PM.

    Thanks.

Brian - coming out of sleep mode and having the system revert to minimum brightness is my #1 pet peeve with this laptop.

    Thanks very much Brian!

The specific issues I'm referring to are playing H.264 encoded videos using GPU (or DXVA) acceleration. There are no issues at all in nVidia mode but in Intel mode you get picture breakup and various other glitches. The only way to fix it is to revert to pure software decoding which uses more CPU and consequently reduces battery life. In various threads I have read, users are reporting Intel has resolved these issues in their newest driver.
