hi ppl, im new to this forum or forums in general actually, so i have this clevo laptop and eventually with time, high temperatures and wear my keyboard started to fail, at this point the (k, g, z, q and prntscreen) dont work and the last time i took off the keyboard from the laptop it stopped completly working until i tightened the screw and waited some days (i have no idea what happened there), the specific model is a n950kp6

the thing is from what i remember from doing my research is that for some reason the n950kp6 is the only model with a "one bolt keyboard", other similar models like the n850kp6 and the n950tp6 have "double bolt keyboards"

i was able to find some "one bolt" compatible keyboards but they were just available in japanese, german and unprinted caps uk layout

btw i did my keyboard hunting on ebay but all the USA one bolt compatible models were just too expensive to import or they didnt shipped to my country

so considering that, the only place i was able to search for keyboards was Aliexpress (btw i also checked if aliexpress had the same keyboard model that came with my laptop, and the answer is yes, but for some reason even if it was the same model i had in my laptop, the keyboard in aliexpress still had 2 bolts anyways somehow, the specific model of my laptop keyboard is this one (CVM15F23USJ430H) btw)

so i needed to know if somehow those two bolt keyboards will able to fit into the chasis, last time i opened my laptop the chasis didnt seem to have an extra hole (or at least it wasnt big enough so the bolt could fit in) to get a double bolt keyboard in there, i actually cant remember so you can doubt me in that, i would just get my keyboard off the laptop to verify but how i said before it maybe can stop working forever without me being able to get a replacement and i have stuff to do in my laptop

i have some old pictures from when i got my keyboard off the laptop, it hope it help in something but sadly the side of the chasis where the 2nd bolt would go isnt actually visible since the pic originally was to get saved the keyboard model i had

please let me know if theres somewhere where i can get a keyboard compatible with my laptop or if you guys have knowledge valuable for me, i really need help and idk where to find it

also sorry for the funky english, is not my main language and is also hard to type copy and pasting letters

thnks in advance for any reply

Might get more responses over there.

Looking at the keyboard though posted in the initial photo looks like the same one I have on NH58RAQ / NP6855

Also, the service manual will have detailed parts ID's https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/ UN&PW - repo

I've noticed w/ clevo branded laptops many of the parts are interchangeable which keeps the prices down on them. I suspect any 15" model parts would fit. When I did my panel upgrade I upgraded from FHD to UHD which was never an option on this particular model by piecing together the solution.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/224389438221?hash=item343ea71b0d:g:vR0AAOSw8-VgUXnf -- this one seems to be a single screw model

    hi, thnks for the reply
about that, for some reason the n950kp6 owners lounge is not open for further replies
damn, i didnt knew that a clevo repo existed, thnx for the info but for some reason theres just user manuals in my specific laptop model and other similar models like the 8th gen version of my laptop use's the double bolt keyboard for some reason
may i ask? by any chance do you know smthing about screens? i changed from a 60hz screen to a 120hz one and the thing is that with time started appearing horizontal lines on the screen on the top and bottom, the voltage compared to my old screen was the same, the signal system was the same, the ammount of pins, etc the only remarkable difference was that the 120hz one consumed a little bit more power, by any chance i just got selled a faulty screen? i have to say that the bigger chip in the small board below the panel heats significally, i have no idea if its supposed to do that
yea, i checked the sites, none of them ships to latam, only ebay but just a handfull of sellers do, i actually found a one bolt keyboard on for my laptop in ebay this time thats compatible with my laptop and can get shipped to my country but theres just one left and poverty makes getting extra money hard, rip

i think im just gonna start saving money along checking ebay constantly

thnx again for the help btw

Screens - I swapped mine and didn't' have any issues. If you're having lines then I would check the cable on both ends to make sure it's snug. Cheapest option is replacing the cable $15 vs the panel itself $100-$150.

Repo - it's handy to have the manual. With this brand if you can get close to the exact model you're golden. https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/N95XKP6/ -- this is your exact model

LATAM vs other locales can be a bit difficult depending on the source. I ordered straight from CN and they'll ship / sell to anyone with a buck to spare. kreplacement.com is the site I used on the panel / cable I needed to do my upgrade. I would shoot them an e-mail and wait for a reply. They're pretty responsive but, there's a delay with the time difference. I found most answers coming in the middle of the night.

There's a huge screen replacement thread as well that might have an answer - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/laptop-screen-upgrades.816139/page-58

Keyboards though might be a bit more digging... like I said though our keyboards appear to be the same from the top view. I can't really say if they're a match with single/double screws though w/o looking. If you look in the manual for my model though it might indicate which screw setup is used. https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/NH5x_70_RDx_RCx_RAx_RHx(Q)/
