I generally do not care for open-world games and prefer a linear storyline over free-roaming exploration. However, I have always loved Left 4 Dead and wanted Dying Light when it was first released. But I am almost never willing to pay full price for new releases. (Rare exceptions were those in the Crysis franchise and a couple of others, but very seldom is a game worth more than $25 to me.) I've checked on it now and then, but found Dying Light prices have stayed way high for far too long. It's still $40 USD on Steam even though it was released in 2015.

BUT, I just snagged it on sale at Kinguin.net for $12... so can't hate that.

when you buy a game from Penguin, are you able to redeem it through Steam or Origin or how does one actually get to install it?

Yes. You just redeem it with the key like you would any other. And, install it like an ordinary Steam, Origin, Uplay or Epic title. Just avoid the ones called a "gift" and look at the key activation details if you're in doubt.

Off-topic for a bit. Steam just seems to become more of an aesthetic suck-fest with every update. I absolutely despise the crapstastic tiled library. This trash reminds me of Windows 10 feces too much. I can only find a way to make the tiles smaller, but not go back to the superior old-school list format. Anyone know a way to get back the legacy-style condensed list for the library like they used to have? That was so much better.

Make a steam shortcut on desktop and add this to the end of .exe

    Code:
    -no-browser +open steam://open/minigameslist

If it's coming back with virus flags then it might not be wise to use the link I put above.

I can beat that, try g2a.com. It's legit and especially older games are at great prices
