How much money are we talking about for that GPU? If it's not a *really* expensive piece, you might end up with a loss when a shop charges you for testing and write-up...

I got it for 210 pounds, but it usually costs around 280. I'm sure they wouldnt charge me too much

Bring a faulty laptop and a working laptop to the bank and do the same stuff on both that will cause 1 of them to crash. If they ask for proof after that I dunno lol.

have been talking to a guy from dell. so far can only get 1 message per 24h with him for some reason. took me a week to get him to understand that the card is separate from my laptop. he kept saying read your laptop manuals. in the end he said he cant get me a written proof, just these emails.

also dell was the only 1 who responded, even though is sent out emails to all major companies.

a few things you havnt told us yet. what graphics card was it and what laptop did you put it in.
also what thermal paste did you use.
it worked first time but with artifacts and now doesnt work. so what happens. does the lappy still boot up but only black screen now or are there lines on the screen.

also what part of the uk are you in so members might have an idea where to suggest to get it checked out.
