I currently own a Emachines E725-4520 it has a Intel Pentium T4400 inside of it and I was wondering if the Core 2 Duo E8435, is compatible with it, (laptop) I have 4GB DDR3 Ram 1.333, 250GB 7200RMP HD, and windows 7 64 bit H-P.

If you could help me at all that would be great! thanks!

Intel Core 2 Duo E8435 vs Pentium T4400
is the link 2 the 2 processors I'm comparing, The one I'm currently using is the T4400. and looking to upgrade to the E8435, It says the are both Socket P but I'm unsure if this means they are compatible, I know they will fit into the socket but will they work? lol. Thanks again!

It is compatible, but it will run too hot.

Get the E8335 instead. Make sure it is the SLGEB version. I have the exact one running in my 5935g, and it works flawlessly.

Do not get the SLAQC version. It has a 45w TDP unlike the SLGEB version which has a 35w TDP.

You can use these processors (with 800MHz FSB) and these (with 800MHz processors). So, the choice is up to you.

That is not so bad processor. After upgrade you`ll see an increase in performance. But don`t think, that the increase will be great - that is not top end processor. But yeah, it is faster than yours.
