I bought this pc on July 2017, and at 1st I didn't know how bad my decision was to buy an AMD laptop, the problem 1st started when I bought the game assassin creed origin. When I launched the game it says that I'm not using the latest driver offered by AMD, so as a normal person would do, I straight away downloaded the latest driver from amd at that time.(if I'm not mistaken I was using dell's driver at first(17.1...)I couldn't recall the rest of the number. So I installed the driver which AMD gave which was (17.2...) my screen went black but I was able to have a remote session from my phone, it's just that the screen was blank. So I reinstalled the driver offered by dell(17.1...)it turns out that the driver wasn't working as well.i spent 2 months trying to find out why,I restored , did OS recovery, reset the pc and after the driver offered by dell or offered by amd is installed, the screen goes black. After that,I got my hands on to Final fantasy benchmark, the score was 2800+ which is normal for rx470/rx570(it was 470 but after installed the driver given by both dell and AMD it becomes 570)after that it become 2200+(significant drop) after replacing the motherboard, the score dropped to 1700+ and the blank screen provlem still exist. After the technician went home the score dropped to 1400+.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS THE BLANK SCREEN CAN BE TRIGGERED
    1. switching back and forth from performance mode to power saving mode and back to performance mode( problems occurs only in performance mode)
2.install any driver given by dell or amd
3.shutting down and turn on pc and cause screen to froze up or blank
4.stop moving mouse cursor (if I keep moving the cursor it will kind of preventing the screen to freeze or blank.

all factors that causes blank screen or screen freeze up stills happens even I had my motherboard, display, display cable, hard drive being replaced.(2nd technician)
so u would think it's the problem of the graphics card even though I changed the motherboard twice, maybe it's not because there was one time I resetted my pc(remove everything) and the problem still exist. nothing got fixed, neither the performance issue nor the screen freezing up and blanking.THE TECHNICIAN AND I THINK IT'S THE COMPATABILTY ISSUE BETWEEN INTEL,MICROSOFT AND AMD'S SOFTWARE. Btw I'm extremely pissed when I saw gtx 1060 which has the same price but a way better performance than my pc(my score should be 2800, and 1060 scored 4200).ILL NEVER BUY AN AMD LAPTOP.NO CHANCE!

I wouldnt know what a solution would be but try to play with various Intel HD drivers and try them both from the dell website and from the intel website (you need to use DDU to uninstall them though or else they block eachother during installation).

Had an AMD GPU laptop in the past and it was **** back then as well unfortunately. At that time I just had to switch back and forth between drivers to make it work.

The problem is pure Dell. When I applied the upgrade to flash the RX 470 to an RX 570, I had all sorts of problems and lost the ability to used the FN-F7 to switch graphics.

Like you, I get the blank display whenever I try to use FN-F7 to switch graphics. This is due to the BIOS directing the display output to either the HDMI or DP port on back. I don't know if there was ever a fix for this with 15r3s with AMD graphics. I've just learned to live with it and not press FN-F7. If you hook up an external monitor we automatically switch over to the dGPU.

Because of this we have to rely on AMD's drivers to switch between the IGPU and dGPU. All the documentation you will find on this refers to configuring switchable graphics under AMD Catalyst Control Center. The bad thing is AMD replaced Catalyst with Adrenalin and there's not much documentation, yet, on how to use it's switchable graphics.

To set applications to use the dGPU under AMD's Adrenalin Right click the desktop and bring up AMD Radeon Settings. Overview will be highlighted in the windows that pops up. To the far right is Switchable Graphics. Choose it. Underneath Switchable Graphics is some text that says Running Applications. This is actually a dropbox where you can click and choose to see Installed Profiled Applications. Here you can set whether to run an application in High Performance (dGPU) or Power Saving (iGPU). You can also search for applications generally not found, like Bethesda app launchers and some benchmarking apps.

It sounds like Final Fantasy is running under Power Saving as the performance is halved. The fluctuations in scores might be Windows SuperFetch still indexing.

Windows 10 should get better at choosing the appropriate graphics adapter when the April Update appears. I read it will override AMD's (and Nvidia's) driver configurations for performance/power saving and we can choose which to use via Windows Settings.

The RX 570 isn't that bad and is a good fit for 1080p - although an RX 480|580 would've been better.

you are right , that could have been the issue but I don't think they really pay much attention to the amd's graphic card because the previous update for the graphics card was July 2017. Furthermore, for me if I have to sacrifice the fn+f7 key I would sell my computer instead, we as consumers do not buy computer to help dell finding out the issues and spending more time solving them. Maybe u should also call dell for a replacement and show him this threat. By the way they have approved my request on changing a new system for me and they upgraded my new system to gtx1070 with 16gb ddr4, new 250gb ssd and a display with g sync.
the rx470/570 is great but for gaming purposes it's not as great as 1060 from nvidia. the fps/$ rate is not worth it and I have serious stuttering issues.
I'm not sure if the benchmark score is lower because I didn't set it on high performance mode but I did check my power option, turn on open gl, turn everything in the amd settings to get the highest performance possible( just like how I did to get the benchmark score of 2800 ) but the outcome is still less than what I expected. It only reaches 2800( 1080 high graphics settings) once.
