hey guys, i just bought the new rog strix g731 and it seems to have a problem with the speakers / frame

the speakers is playing fine but when i play certain frequencies (200 - 500 hertz) the frame / keyboard or something inside starts vibrating to the point where its creating unpleasant rattle / noises

i know this is a problem that is occurring in some laptops, specially the lower quality ones, and the store i bought it from (not asus) also says that its just how the laptop is build

ive called asus anyway to hear what they had to say about it and they say something is wrong with my unit, which i also would expect for such a expensive and brand new laptop

i never really used laptops before and there is no information about the G series to find anywhere so im hoping you guys could help me decide if there is something wrong with my unit or if asus is just complete ****s at building speakers / frames that works together

i can live without the laptops speakers if they are just ****, i will barely use them anyway, and if i have to wait a little for replacement to get one without this problem i can live with that too, i just don't want to waste my time and then get a new unit that has exact same problem

some videos to show the problem

Basically as it is a new model, no one has an idea. Even I'm looking for buying this model.

Unfortunately I have this exact same issue with the G731 I just picked up. The rattle in the speakers is very noticeable watching YouTube podcasts and twitch streams.

I think it’s the weird vent-like design by the speakers causing the rattling sounds. I am returning this to micro center this weekend.

It's super common problem in South Korea, where these are selling a lot.
Sizzling/buzzing speakers consequently, bottom part of laptop is vibrating. It should have been recalled.
And mine does this too. If you can, get refund straight away.

    -----------------------------------Edit-----------------------------------

It's common problem only occuring on G731 variants but, not on G531 which share same parts.
It might help if you uninstall Sonic Studio which mess up the speaker impedance.

I figured it out!... but it's not fixable.

I exchanged my first G731 this afternoon, and the second model has the same rattling problem. The display model at Micro Center also has the same problem and they were surprised to hear it so pronounced. If you want to hear it plainly, just mouse over the volume button and change the volume so you hear the volume ding.

The rattle is coming from the keyboard buttons, specifically, the lower keys of the number pad and the arrow keys. They are lose to the touch, and the speakers cause their housing to rattle. If you gently place your hand over the keys on the number pad, the rattling goes away. Remove your hand, and the rattling returns. I opened up the laptop and there is nothing to secure or tap over to prevent the keys from rattling in their housing.
