Hi guys! Maybe someone can share their thoughts or even help me with a problem.
After flashing prema bios from my reseller (dream machines) I ran into a problem with gpu fan. It simply does not rise up at all on any temperature. In ccc gpu temperature reads 40C on any load, while hwinfo or afterburner shows the real numbers. This is so weird because Obsidian’s fan control works absolutely fine with both fans and it sees both cpu and gpu temperatures like hw/afterburner. I think this is not software related problem because this behavior absolutely identical on clean setup without any controling software (neither fan control nor ccc). System thinks that temperature at 40 all the time :) Something wrong in EC apparently. Just want to install Linux in dual boot, but i am afraid that gpu will burn to death without software fan control. Allready tried to re-flash prema bios/ec in clean system with the same result.
Maybe someone encountered this problem before or maybe @Prema can help me with that? Allready asked my resseler but still waiting for an answer (they are so slow lately).
If someone interested in 9900k temperatures in p775 feel free to ask. I will gladly share all my test results based on real work in houdini and other vfx related software (which requires much more stability than any overclocking “benchmarks”)

Bumping this thread. I’m on Prema Bios from HIDEvolution. I’ve noticed this problem too. The fans usually work fine, but there have been a few times where the fans just don’t ramp up. I’ll be in a game and FPS drop drastically from thermal throttling. Opening up Obsidian Fan Control fixes things. Not sure why they stop working randomly. Only common thread between me and OP are Prema Bios and Obsidian Tools.

Considering its customised firmware you are FAR better off speaking to your reseller about support.

Prema contacted me on Friday and said that for some reason Dream Machines sent me an outdated version with this knowing bug and that I need to make a request for a remote flashing from them. They have not yet replied to any of my letters regarding this topic. I called them yesterday, they said they saw my emails and will answer tomorrow ... they did not answer and I called again... this time they assured me they were waiting for a new version from Prema. I absolutely do not understand what is happening, but communication with them is completely broken. Despite the fact that I spent on the laptop 4k euros with an extended three-year warranty just two months ago.
Does anyone know, can I safely roll back to stock bios from Prema ? In theory, this is possible, but only if I install a more recent version from Clevo, correct? But bad luck, I do not know on which stock version my build from Prema is based :)
Current stock versions 1.07.15TDES bios and 1.07.10 EC for my serial on DM website. while Prema’s version 1.07.DM and 1.07.DM2. Because of this “dm” I can’t identify my current version on the system

If you find or get into a roadblock whilst installing and setting up Linux ask or tag @Dennismungai

Hello here! Here's newbie with need of tech advice.
Recently bought an P775 from Dream Machines (they are closest reseller from here), and...
Seems I have this same problem, with differences that it's fresh RTX upgraded model now (P775TM1-G with RTX 2070, they market it as RX2070-17), and now they aren't listed in Prema Partners. They were when I first contacted them, and they still offer Prema bios option.

Firmware versions installed are the same 1.07.DM and 1.07.DM2 dated by end of 2018, so i assume they even weren't meant to be in RTX model.

GPU fan *sometimes* randomly works as intended, but more often it doesnt. Any third-party fan controlling software also is seeing gpu temp as 40C, and most of the bios setting utility seem to behave wrong (i can't change almost anything there without bricking it, while XTU works mostly fine) Also sometimes I seen the GPU hitting power limit at Max-Q's clocks, but mostly at least that works as "intended".

Tech support replied quickly, asked if i can flash the bios myself, and vanished for more than a week now, so now i'm searching for help elsewhere. Maybe, @Prema himself would be kind enough to help?
(also i'd really, REALLY like to deal with that 115w power limit that i managed to miss before... Had naive hope to undervolt that thing to near-desktop performance, ehh)
