    Hi,

i have this guy that still works like well oiled machine and would like to learn from more experienced ppl would you consider any upgrades and which ones would those be. 90% usage is Excel.

i5-3320M CPU on Dell 082H3V Motherboard.
16GB RAM BIOS A19 SVC TAG 3LBG7W1 FHD Mfg on 11/01/2012

I do not use the Quadra video card.

Will I benefit from a CPU upgrade?

    Thank you in advance.

P.S. I have been unable to upload HWinfo so far. Hopefully, not needed at this point.

A cheap i7-3xxxQM will run circles around that 3320M.

If you can get it cheap go for it, unlock the 400 MHz Turbo Bins with a UEFI shell and watch it fly.

I would suggest putting an Msata SSD in that will breath new life into the system, models that didn't come with i7 quad core cpu's may not be able to be upgraded

mSATA has been already installed as well as 'regular' 2.5 SSD years ago. Any attribute I should look for to determine whether it is possible to upgrade? The BIOS reports 4 RAM slots, I have 2 filled with 8GB each, but I haven't opened it up in a long time and do not remember what to look for really. May be I should leave it as it is after all. It still does everything I need very well.

Do nothing but adding a i7-3xxxQM, the M4700 is becoming old and even a Ryzen 4300U will decimate a 3940XM.
