What is the maximum temperature the quadro fx770m gpu can safely tolerate? I play a lot of simulation games on my M4400 precission using a notebook cooler and the gpu temps still get pretty high on occasion (85-90 C). Is this too high? I do live in a very warm climate so this does not help the situation.

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards.

I think that 85-90C is fairly safe. At least that's what I gather from reading other posts on here.

Just in case you stumble upon this message before checking the

Don't worry, 'system software' is only needed when you (re)install the operating system (akin to Intel's chipset drivers). If you're already up and running, you don't need to install the update.

    Hello,
I would like to ask what you mean by the "Performance mod". You are saying you have all features enabled but what about Audio via Display port.

Let me explain it. Time to time I want to watch a movie from my laptop on my LCD TV. For that purpose I bought original DisplayPort->HDMI converter. As you probably know both DisplayPort and HDMI have capability to transfer VIDEO and also AUDIO. The problem is that without original Dell driver it transfer only Video but not Audio. For me that is the main reason why I can use only Dell stock drivers.

So did you find any way how to enable this AUDIO feature in drivers downloaded from nVidia or different one from Dells? This would be very helpful. Thanks.

Quick question... few machines in the outlet with the QX9300 and FX1700 I'm looking at. With this configuration and the 9-cell battery I'm looking at what, 2 to 3 hours of battery life with basic office/web-surfing type load?

You would have two power hogs in your M4400, so I would expect 2-3 hrs, like you said.

A dual core CPU would save you quite a bit of power as well as an FX770m card.

Actually, that's incorrect. I have that config, with the WUXGA and a 7200rpm drive. I get around 5hrs on the 9 cell. (it varies between 4-6)
