Yes, that pause made me extremely nervous. Thankfully the keyboard lights are on so at least you know (or hope) something is happening. Best to be patient.

A good few hours have passed since I installed it and everything working well, even seems to have speeded up my boot process so happy with that.

Pro for Workstations has all of the stuff that Pro has. You'll still have Cortana, Photos, etc. on that OS. I doubt that you'll find that "ultimate performance" actually helps on this system. Using the "High performance" mode will run the CPU at the maximum clock speed until it heat throttles.

If you want the absolute fastest memory then you will have to buy it aftermarket. The memory shipping in these systems seems to have the highest CAS latency available for memory of this speed class.

If you really want 'pro' Windows 10 Pro, you should get Windows 10 Enterprise.

Updated to 1.3.7 and now the mouse/kb is stuttering through the dock (previously wasn't for me) .... also, my power throttle issue is back. Ugh!

Really hard to get at the root of the Dock / USB stuttering. I had it with 1.2.5 and not 1.0.5 and now after half a day not with 1.3.7

Besides the changed BIOS I had the mainboard replaced.

But can that be the reason when the stuttering changes on other systems after updating the BIOS an no hardware changed.

I hadn't experienced it until this morning's bios update. It's a very frustrating thing to deal with, and I can now sympathize more with others who are having the issue. Plugged direct to laptop for now.

This makes me really nervous to install this new BIOS. I have 4x DIMMs of G.Skill 3200MHz installed.
