Can anyone comment/discuss thoughts/opinions regarding the i9 / Xeon CPU with only 16 PCIE lanes? What would get bottlenecked first? Considering you can have up to 4x NVME drives installed (7730), two thunderbolt devices (egpu / hard drive), and a relatively high end graphics card for a laptop internally. Concerned if using this setup with an egpu, a couple of NVMe drives, and outputting to 2nd or 3rd display, what limitations I may run into.

Created a new high performance base power plan and set my 7730 to use it. No problems at home.
This morning when connected to the TB18DC, the 7730 just went off after a couple of minutes. Fans were working quite a bit. After a second power off and a blue screen on reboot (some driver starting with AS if I remember correctly, so maybe the ASmedia dock drivers) I restarted without dock, changed to balanced power plan, reconnected dock and its working fine so far.

I was getting BSOD with 64GB of HyperX 3200MHz RAM, so I've been running on 32GB until today. I just installed 64GB of G.Skill 3200MHz CL18 RAM, and the machine is running just fine.

Interestingly, CPU-Z and BIOS report that the RAM is running at 3200MHz, but Task Manager in Win10 reports 2400MHz.

Also, Windows Update is trying to downgrade my BIOS from 1.1.7 to 1.0.5.

was about to order some memory and @anuraj1 post got me worried.
BIOS should be reporting things correctly, so does it mean that HyperX & G.Skill can't even work at original 2666mhz speed that memory supplied by Dell works?

Just got 2x 16GB 2666 CL19 from Crucial and they work flawlessly with the Dell provided 2x 8GB.

Windows Task Manager shows them with 2667 Mhz

    I am on BIOS 1.1.7

After a few minutes of idle time battery time got from 6:50 to battery_time.png Nice

Intel Wifi works great as well: got 350mbps with 5Ghz on my 400mbps connection when using fast.com.

I think that my BSOD issues were particular to one of the HyperX DIMMs I had. I bought one new pair and one used pair because Amazon only had one new pair available. The used pair didn't play nicely with the new pair, but they all worked fine in combos of 32GB, and were reported at 3200 everywhere. The HyperX RAM is CL20.

The new CL18 3200 RAM from G.Skill works great and is reported at 3200 everywhere but Windows 10 Task Manager.

One thing to note, the HyperX RAM only ran at 2666 on any BIOS below 1.1.7.
