Not my day.....I just found out that the brown ribbon connector is broken as well. The hard plastic tab to grab it is gone.
Is it possible to be replaced in any way or should I buy a new one?
    Thanks

New firmware v1.14.4 for the Precision 7530/7730:

    - Firmware updates to address security advisory INTEL-SA-00295 (CVE-2020-0536, CVE-2020-0539, CVE-2020-0545, and CVE-2020-0566).
    - Firmware updates to address the Intel Security Advisories INTEL-SA-00289 (CVE-2019-11157) and INTEL-SA-00317 (CVE-2019-14607).
    - Firmware updates to address security advisory INTEL-TA-00404 (CVE-2020-8758).
    - Fixed the issue where the system cannot display the BIOS setup menu on an external monitor when the system lid is closed.
    - Fixed the issue where the system does not charge when one of two USB Type-C adapters are unplugged.
    - Fixed the issue where the system stops responding in the BIOS setup screen when the thunderbolt cable is unplugged.
    - Fixed the issue where the BIOS update fails while recovering through hard drive or USB.
    - Fixed the issue where an error message stating Key Mapping for Console Redirection BIOS is displayed before the Dell logo screen.

CVE-2019-11157 is mentioned again, which means that Dell has possibly patched the downgrade workaround to re-enable undervolting. Bummer.

Those cables are from the keyboard connector.
How hard is to replace them?.May I use a 4 lane ribbon flex cable to replace the brown one?.
What is the function for the brown one?.
Trying to fix it on my own if possible.
    Thanks

If you buy a replacement keyboard, it should come with that cable... I don't know if it can be replaced individually.
Also I am not sure the function of the four different cables coming from the keyboard. The system might work fine without the brown one if it is for the touchpoint mouse or something.

At least they mentioned it. Not always they do that for all models. And yeah, old and new Intel security patches will follow in new firmware package. If you skipped the dreaded firmware update around Plundervolt fix date then you'll get it with newer firmware. Halleluja

Well this is more Intel's fault, and given that this is a security issue, I would be hard-pressed to find an OEM who hasn't patched it. Security > performance for OEMs, and gamers who stick to Windows 10 are really the minority.

Thanks for the heads up. It may be my imagination but my system's fans are not coming on as much as before this latest update. That is good as the machine is even quieter than normal.

I presume you have updated, then. Does the reset BIOS trick work with this, too, then?
