I ought a 2008 Prius the other night for $1,800. It's in good condition but has 232,000 miles. I still have my truck and Jeep, but it'll be nice to have something that gets >20 MPG.

How are the batteries in it after that many miles/years?

I didn't have my Bluetooth OBD2 reader on me, so I drove it hard watching to see if the battery drained quickly. It barely dropped at all, but if some cells do go bad I'll try replacing them individually. I'll hook it up to the Dr. Prius app this weekend and get a more accurate battery health estimate.

Among other groceries, Wegmans brand vanilla coffee grounds. Their regular generic coffee is hot garbage, though I'm curious to see if their flavored stuff is any good.

Nope, still pretty low-tier, but at least its not as bad as the non-flavored coffee.

I got to have some unexpected expenses recently. Hospital bill for an ER visit, copays for follow-up visits with my primary care, and copays for allergy tests. I don't need money anyway.

Local grocery store has been having some deep-ish discounts on non-perishables (paper towels, toilet paper, household cleaners, etc), so I've been stocking up on the stuff we were low on for cheap. Now have shelving on one of the garage walls full of this stuff to use for the next however-many-months.

Hope everything gets better soon. Not sure if your hospital system does this, but ask them if they do a financial assistance program (which would be applied regardless of insurance status, costs, etc) if you haven't already.
