I did the same thing with my Y530 as well and, from what I'm seeing, an off-the-shelf Intel AX200 should work in the computer as well. Despite having just replaced the Realtek wireless adapter with the Intel 9560, upgrading to the AX200 is a little tempting.

Unless I'm traveling, which isn't often these days, the Y530 doesn't see more than a couple hours use each week. Further, I neither own nor plan to upgrade to WiFi 6-compatible hardware, especially since my home Internet is just 175 Mbps down/15 Mbps up. As such, spending extra on an AX200 adapter would be a waste as it was more than twice as much as what I paid for the 9560.

If you don't mind sharing, how much did you pay for the 9560? I paid a little under $17 for mine and have seen the AX200 for only a few dollars more. I don't have any equipment that would take advantage of the hardware either, but if the itch to upgrade is there.....

453DD985-1EA6-4276-B388-86C8F2EF3719.jpeg ZTE Z667T for free! Goodwill guy was throwing it away and I was like could I have this? He said sure. In the bin was some electronics like a AMD sempron LE-1300

ASUS gaming monitor. I've actually been gaming recently and I wanted a non-4K monitor for it. I now have a dual monitor setup like a true basement dweller. :p

Could it be that you've finally seen the light and realize that both Macs and PCs have their strengths and weaknesses!? Also, I just realized that your pfp is Nitori Shuuichi from Hourou Musuko.....now my mind is starting to go places. Very eggy places.....

On subject, I bought a ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2.....and I'm going to be waiting for it for a while.

I love Hourou Musuko. Just re-read it this summer. :D

And yes, although I still don't do all that much gaming, there are some things that a Mac just can't do and I enjoy having both computers.
