It appears that the entire thing is skewed to me, shouldn't it cross at 5252?

Thanks! Not sure about the handlebar, but I'll definitely be getting pedals (duh), mudguards, lights, insurance-certified locks, and a seat bag for longer trips.

I know the opinion on disc brakes is split. I'll gladly make the compromise of some additional weight to get consistent, reliable stopping power since this bike isn't super light and falls under the cyclo-cross/gravel category. Do you dislike the braking characteristics of (mid- to high-end) mechanical disc brakes, or is it the weight that gets you?

Characteristics, and that's inherently tied in to the mechanics; discs are trying to stop a rotating momentum very close to the pivot. Drum and coaster types have the same problem and also need much more mass. Instead, a rim brake squeezes at the outer edge of the object which is much easier (Archimedes) and, consequently, doesn't stress the hub and spokes as much. Discs will never get as good a control over braking as a (hydraulic) rim type, unfortunately.

Discs do make sense for off-road, but for road use their raison d'être could only be full carbon wheels. Kinda expected someone to bring back (modernised and overpriced) spoon brakes; carbon-proof and the lightest brake of all. Only disadvantage is swapping tires more often. Patents have long expired though, so it probably won't fly; you test and build one and next year everyone copies it.

Oh, right ... a pre-order for Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Vol. 8: Desolation.

Why should it cross there? Looking at other mappings?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Wanted it on PC, but I got an offer on the PS4 version I couldn't pass up.
