Wanted a grill, but my garage space is limited with car, motorcycle, lawnmower, snowblower, etc., so I picked up this:

A better wireless card for my ThinkPad. I'm trying to get this thing all set to replace this piece of junk Toshiba Tecra that was issued to me.

Snagged a great deal of vintage PC parts bundle, here they are:
    1. ECS 761GX-M754 Socket 754 motherboard (with a PCIe slot!)
    2. AMD Sempron 2500+
    3. Old style stock AMD cooler (no copper, looks beefy though)
    4. 1GB + 512MB DDR-400 RAM
    5. Motherboard backplate and manual
All for just $4 (no haggling, seller really asked for $4) and surprise, they all work. Lots of dust around the cooler area when I got it, though. CPU is meh (actually the slowest Socket 754 chip) but I can source another one without much problem.

Possibly a new project coming soon?

Well more computers doesn't hurt, maybe except my bank but $4 isn't that much, I can skip a meal and make up with that, it's gonna be a budget vintage PC build anyway so it shouldn't hit my wallet hard.

Besides, it's a Socket 754 system with PCIe! Think about running any Windows from 98 all the way to 10

And of course, I'm an old tech junkie :p

But will you be able to find a PCIe video card that will actually work with Windows 98?
