Bought a 40W adjustable temp soldering station and a few accessories. Doing my first real circuits lab and I'm both excited and terrified.

I'd say he hit it spot on. :biglaugh:

I solved the issue. The 'new' nw8440 was still running the original BIOS (F.0F), while my 'old' one had the latest BIOS (F.16). Updating the BIOS did the trick. However, I only updated it to F.10, as I remembered a bug that was introduced in F.12 that caused the PS/2 ports to stop functioning on the docking station if you closed the lid while the PC was running.
(Probably a side effect of the "enhancement" introduced F.12 that disabled the internal keyboard, touchpad, and pointstick when the lid was closed. Those devices run off of the PS/2 interface, so clearly all HP did was have PS/2 be disabled when the lid was shut. As long as you booted the PC with the lid shut and never opened it, or kept the lid open, you were fine).

Also, the T7600 completely smothers the T2600 in YouTube playback performance. I knew the T7600 would be at least somewhat of animprovement of the T2600, with its newer architecture and slightly higher clock speed, but I wasn't anticipating to be that dramatic of an improvement.

Oh yeah, my last purchase: 2 new pairs of jeans at Old Navy.

The used 8GB stick of DDR4-2400 that I bought for my Sager NP5855 seems to be working great. It's nice to have a laptop with 16GB RAM again as the last one I had with that much was my old Early 2011 17-inch MacBook Pro.

Also, my last purchase was some groceries. Snuggle fabric softener sheets, some tortilla chips, a jar of salsa, and a bottle of Canada Dry blackberry ginger ale (which is pretty good).

    That wasn't the point though.
The point was that you used the meme incorrectly.
For correct example see Exhibit A above.
