I paid $3.29 at Costco today whereas my usual station near my house jumped to $3.49.

Thank goodness for 5% cashback on gas with Discover, which means I'm paying $3.40 instead of $3.60.

What bothers me is that in central Virginia, gas is about 25 cents cheaper. While on my way to Woodbridge about a week and a half ago, I stopped at a major truck stop area in Ruther Glen and a gallon of regular was $3.24 where it was still $3.49 in Hampton Roads.

Your one of them fancy city slickers though, you deserve it. I live out in BFE and I still get to pay 3.70 a gallon for 85 octane, after I hunt around on my 50 mile commute. Lets not even mention that Utah actually harvests a decent amount of oil, 11th highest in the USA, but we don't use it to lower our prices.

Last fill up was @ 4.49 (for 91) for me, but only for ~9 gallons which is 3/4ths of a tank.

Normally I hit up a shell for gas and use my amex 6% back + 20c off ralph rewards, but I was in a hurry (and someone else was footing the bill), so stopped at a chevron right next to the freeway.

In other purchase news, I ordered a KN air filter. Not for the non-existent performance increase, or the barely-able-to-tell increase in turbo noise, but because I needed a new one and didn't want to drive to the dealership for a oem one, while amazon had KN.

Also got a bottle of windshield washer fluid for 3.99 and did a drain-and-fill of my reservoir, since before it was slightly overfilled, and when the engine warmed up, the fluid expanded, and would push out the nozzles on the hood.

Tomorrow my OpenFlashTablet gets delivered, along with the air filter, which is going to make my car very happy. A bump of ~100hp/~100ft/p torque isn't a small thing.

    I hate your both

$4.49 sounds about right for L.A.prices.

Just let us know when you flash your ECM and I'll watch for a news story involving the CHP chasing a BMW tearing down the 405 @200mph. :D
