One thing I've wondered about these installment plans is if there's any sort of penalty for paying off the balance right away or at worst, some time after you've made the first payment. My parents bought a car recently, and there was a rebate you could only qualify for if you financed with the manufacturer's in-house lending arm. They did that, and as soon as they received their first statement, they mailed in a check for the payoff amount.

Had an almost-similar issue with my brother when he was buying his car (a cheap sub-compact). Had all the money in the bank already and were prepared to pay cash for it, but it took a bit of back and forward discussion with the dealership before they would ok that (probably because they wanted that sweet, sweet interest money).

    Didn't you already try that?

Wait, never mind. I didn't see that it was a work laptop. I'll be getting a new one from work soon myself. Probably a ThinkPad T480 or an X1 Yoga.

Yeah, first was a personal purchase, which was returned since I wasn't happy with it. But free's free, yo.

AIO Kraken, either X31 or X42. The latter costs 25ish Euros more, so trying to figure out if the price difference is worth it. Apparently X42 has a better design pump, but can't seem to find any head to head comparisons between the two.

Funeral (cremation) and a simple service, followed by a trip to Florida to scatter the ashes.
