Maybe in a few months, I’ll replace my iPhone 6s+ with another iPhone model (probably a refurb) with more storage. Will probably just binge on a stupidly-high capacity model like 128Gb or 256GB.

Song collection is hitting 17GB out of 32GB total, and everything else is taking up all but the last gig or so of capacity.

Thinking of maybe getting either a ThinkPad P52s or a ThinkPad P71 early next year. Working for IBM has it's perks!

Probably will be getting a new laptop at work, so not a "purchase" per se. Will probably be a recent-model MBP of some sort.

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a new iPhone to replace my non-S 6 Plus. I'm undecided about what to get, though. Best Buy has $150 off the 8 Plus right now, making the 256 GB model an attractive buy, but you have to take it on the installment plan. I'm more leaning toward getting an unlocked refurbished 7 Plus. It's not that much less capable than the 8, would cost more than $100 less as I'd get 128 GB, and I would own the phone outright.

Yeah, I saw the B.B. special but personally I’m not a massive fan of phone installment plans. Have the money to buy it outright or don’t bother.

Thinking of getting myself a Dell Precision 7530 with a Xeon E-2176M, 32 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz ECC RAM, a Quadro P3200 and storage to taste... But the resulting hole in my wallet will be very, very large.

One thing I've wondered about these installment plans is if there's any sort of penalty for paying off the balance right away or at worst, some time after you've made the first payment. My parents bought a car recently, and there was a rebate you could only qualify for if you financed with the manufacturer's in-house lending arm. They did that, and as soon as they received their first statement, they mailed in a check for the payoff amount.
