    I mean the part about the resume is valid, there are a lot of places that do development on Mac, and if you want a job with public schools you need to know how to use one.

    Not fancy at all, it's been an Apple thing to sell their computers to public schools at very low cost so that kids grow up using them since the 80s.

    Smart move by Apple then.
    Sell for less to schools, then apply the difference in price to the users.

    Currently my workplace is about half and half HP Elitebooks/Zbooks and MBPs (and I should be getting that ZBook soon......).

    Personally, I just get bored with using the same things for a long time. Good example of this is in phones; I've hopped around Windows Phone, Android, and iOS pretty freely.
