Maybe this is it? The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is simply too fast? Temptation beckons the right foot to the floor too often - even for little old lady EPA and European Stately mileage testers? That "lead foot" behavior will use up the electron storage quickly.

The coffee commercial is over at 01:15, a good place to start...

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is Probably Too Fast - One Take
    Dec 9, 2019

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is a serious machine. Unlike other sports EV's, which seem to offer thrilling acceleration but ultimately mean to replace driving, rather than improving it, the Taycan is the driver's EV. It's the EV designed and built by people who have won every major endurance race ever hosted. Its new 800V architecture, stunning good looks, and positively bonkers pace combined with the seriousness of build quality you get from Porsche, combines to make the best production EV money can buy. Porsche provided the vehicle, insurance, and free access to a charging station for this review.

The 2020 Porsche Taycan is the best new Porsche -- and one of the most important cars of the year. Today I'm reviewing the Taycan to show you all around it, and show you all of its quirks and features. Then I'm going to drive the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, to show you how it performs on the road. How many Tesla Model 3 Performance cars can you get for the price of one Porsche Taycan Turbo S?... 3 or 4 depending on the Taycan options...

Here's Why the Tesla Model 3 Performance Is the Best Tesla Yet

The Tesla Model 3 Performance is the best Tesla yet. Today I'm reviewing the Model 3 Performance, and I'm going to discuss why it's the best Tesla -- and I'm going to show you all the cool features of the Model 3 Performance. Then I'm going to get it out on the road and drive the Tesla Model 3 Performance.
MY REVIEW OF THE TESLA MODEL 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te6Vq...

$185,000 base model Taycan Turbo S / $56,000 Tesla 3 Performance base = 3.30... and I think the Taycan options would push that up to 4 Tesla Model 3 Performance cars @ $224K for a fully configured Taycan Turbo S.

Buy a Tesla 3 Performance for yourself and 3 of your friends to help save the environment 4 times more than buying the Porsche only for yourself - then park it in the garage to re-charge every 200 miles...

Tesla is already so far ahead in battery / efficiency, and likely is going to break out a couple of (or more) performance and efficiency improvements over the next year - IMHO likely before or timed with Porsches release in the US. I would have appreciated his including the Tesla Model 3, as well as showing all the Tesla S/3 variations in Performance, Range, and Cost. You could get 2-3 Model S's or 3-5 Model 3's for one Porsche Taycan appointed with options.

Porsche Made The Least Efficient Electric Car
    Dec 25, 2019
    Engineering Explained
The Porsche Taycan Turbo Is The Least Efficient Electric Car (EPA). The 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo has the lowest MPGe rating of all current 2019 and 2020 model year electric cars in the United States according to the EPA. For gasoline supercars, efficiency doesn't really matter, and fuel economy is often pitiful. However, with today's current battery technology, electric car efficiency is extremely important regardless if it's an economy car or a supercar. Porsche enthusiasts may not be worried about the energy bills or even the 201 mile range of their brand new electric car, but there are metrics about inefficiency that are hard to ignore for any enthusiast. This video will also compare the Porsche Taycan's battery strategy to the Tesla Model S. Differences in battery strategy also lead to differences in brake pedal, accelerator pedal, and regenerative braking strategies between the two cars, which will be discussed in the video.

Here's a Porsche Taycan pre-order that was canceled after the 201 mile EPA range was announced - he was counting on the original 300 mile estimate by Porsche...range matters...

Why I'm Keeping My Teslas Over Buying A Porsche Taycan

I was really hoping the Porsche Taycan would have much better specs than it officially has. The 201 mile range from the EPA is very disappointing.

A few days before the 201 EPA was announced, ‘The Smoking Tire’ did a review of the Taycan. He ‘Matt’ seemed to love the car and I was really impressed with it until about 10 min after he started his drive, a note on the screen said “in this 17 mile drive, I’ve used 40% of the battery charge.” I was like wtf, and thinking maybe he was exaggerating. Yes he was driving the car super hard but still, it was like 10 min. I have a P100D, and I know for sure My car wouldn’t go through 40% in that identical drive, prob about 20%. So that video was eye opening that the EPA was gonna be really low and a few days later, sure enough..."
