    I agree. When I had my RWD cars tires and suspension made all the difference in the world. Granted one year I drove with summer tires on the rear all winter long. It really wasn't that bad. Just had to go easy on the throttle and lots of countersteering. I think once you get used to it you realize you are in a lot more control when the rear wheels start slipping than you are when the front ones do.

    glad to see we're finally seeing eye to eye on a subject. :p

    i completely agree with the control statement though. with RWD, it's much more important to learn how your car reacts in different situations. simply put, RWD is higher risk/higher reward and FWD is low risk/lower reward. i don't even remember the last time i drove and my back end broke out without me doing it on purpose.

    REAL mechanical 4x4 not that sissy awd marketed as 4x4. I love being rwd and then being able to tackle any condition I want by pulling a manual lever. Button or knob 4x4 systems need not apply as I want to feel my transfercase shifting into 4hi/neutral/4lo.

    my daily is mid engine RWD. gotten used to it :)
