Please Recommend A Cooling Pad For Gaming

    oh yeah i just remembered i removed the bottom panel....with the panel on i was only seeing a 5c differance....with the panel removed yeah as outrageous as it sounds 20c maybe more

    If you have the SF-19 then you should be good without modding.


    U3 is more budget friendly and opens up modding possibilities.

    is there a place where I can buy a modded U3 cooling pad with bigger fans, antidust magnets, and more volts?

    Yup, I had 2 of them for my Asus W90vp I would run when doing long batch jobs, but they weren't practical for every day use, too noisy.

    They were fairly large, I tried the smaller ones and didn't help enough, these look just like the ones I had, and I think it's the same manufacturer:

    As I recall the 2 of them dropped the GPU's and CPU temps quite a bit. I sold them with the laptop.

    As you can see by the noise reading, these new ones are still noisy:

    Nice shrouds to direct and force the air from the vent effectively:

    And I recall the temperature reduction claims at the time were met, and even better with 2 of them running, one on each side:

    The one's I had didn't have temperature readout, but I think they were $10 less than these, of course that was back in 2009.

    I haven't bought any since because the cooling has been good enough in the Asus and MSI laptops I have had, and even if they help - they were just too noisy :)
