    A mallet used to break up ice. My guess is it's from the 1970s and would have been used at the bar in the upper deck lounge area of a 747. At least that's what I'd like to think.

    Weird thing is they don't remember how they got it since neither of them has ever flown on a 747, much less in first class. Can't say it's much of a conversation piece, though, since neither myself, my wife, nor my parents are particularly social. It was useful for knocking out the ice dams that formed in our refrigerator due to a faulty icemaker that was just replaced under recall despite it being 4 years out of warranty.

    What about all the drones working tirelessly to save pilots from the many risks of flying? A thankless job...
