Greetings from the frozen tundra known as South Dakota! A couple of years back I picked up one of those Toughbook CF-H1 hospital tablet computers. Of course it was with out cady or hard drive, so I tossed it aside and went on with my life, enjoying my CF-30 when traveling in our motor home, and my uggh DELL Laptop (Hock Shop Kingman Az real junker) when we are stationary. Well this winter, we were sort of forced to remain in the Frozen North so I have time to tackle my problems with the unit. I see the caddy's are now all over Ebay, so I purchased one, only to find that they take a special hard drive with a different type plug, so now I have one of those on it's way from China. What I would like to do is isolate the pins on the caddy out portion of the plug on the bottom, and build a small USB out plug for that. This way I could use the USB to install my Windows OS, or Linux which ever I decide will be appropriate at the time. So does anyone know if one can isolate the USB off those PINS? I should think it possible since the caddy has USB 2 on it. If power would be a problem, I have plenty of 2A power supplies that could power the port if necessary.

Schematic for the dock will be very hard to find.
I "might" have a service manual or a parts list.
