eBay reflects consumer supply/demand in its purest form on a global scale. If there is no demand, prices can and will decrease. I never gauge prices on listing prices but always check the last 1-3 months of completed listings to get an idea of what is selling and what is not. eBay is a much bigger market than the small marketplace forums here and it shows.

Thanks for the advice! The laptop is running stock Sager BIOS (side note: apparently they pushed one out for NP9870-S around last Oct or so), so no added value there. I wash hoping to get about half of what I paid for it back, but that seem to be a bit unrealistic now that I think about it.

I have a similar setup I'm looking to sell. Did you end up piecing out or selling in full?

Not sold yet. Posting on Craigslist for the full system to get a local sale due to the recent change in Paypal refund policy. I managed to get a Razer Core X and GTX Titan X Pascal card to work with it in the mean time as well, so I'm not in a rush to get it sold.

Same(Craigslist) + OfferUp. I had my posting on Ebay for 5 minutes and got hit by 10 scammer bids. Seems like a cesspool at the moment.

That is an interesting setup. Hope it works well for you.

To add insult to injury, PayPal will no longer refund transaction fees on refunds/cancelled purchases to the seller, so you're out ~2.9% of the purchase price if a transaction is refunded regardless of the reason
;and in compliance with new laws, eBay now collects sales tax on all transactions from buyers even for used/personal sales from non businesses / personal sellers.

Sellers have low to no protection now. I got hit with a refund for a 4 month old sale from an unethical and scummy international buyer located in Australia on an item with a clearly listed 30 day return/warranty period.
Buyer marked it as defective. Returned item worked fine so that was a plus, but it is insane how vulnerable sellers are now when listed/stated sales policies can be circumvented at the buyer's whim.

It's like they want their market share to shrink....

I believe they said they said that they're delaying that, could be wrong.

I've heard as well. Not surprised about the backlash really.
