Pavillion DV7-6197 screen replacement to FHD

    Good. That's one part down: Chi-Mei N173O6-L02 datasheet and pin-out (page 11). Now you just need to know which panel laptopscreen.com may provide or order an exact model yourself. But, really, this CMO uses a standard interface, so any 1080p 40-pin wled is likely to work.

    Now, not all 1080p's are equal in quality and laptopscreen will just ship whatever they have in stock. If you want a panel that's guaranteed to work and is a splendour to behold to boot, then there's only a single one; B173HW01 V4 (or one the other Vx's, but the V4 is preferable). Sadly, none are available atm (the one listed is an 'RW01'), but this V0 is quite an improvement as well.

    Hard to tell, but most likely it's a very big improvement over the old panel. Thing is, the N173O6-L02 was only tested using Gossen Mavo-Monitor and the B173HW02 V0 with X-Rite. That's apples and oranges, so ...

    Main thing is you are happy with the new display and like the result. Is brightness control working, btw?

    Yes man, i am happy, seems works all good, also brightness control.. i think it's a bit pixelated than previous one, i don't know why., but for the rest there are not problem.. ;)
