Try 3DMark Fire Strike or Time Spy. It will be easier to find comparable numbers for those tests.

If normal games run fine, that's a good sign. As noted your laptop is dated but still fine for modern gaming.

To determine if you have thermal-related problems, run HWMonitor in the background (just get the ZIP - English version on that page) while you're playing a game for 15 minutes or so. It will record the maximum temperatures for your CPU and GPU. If you are getting > 90 degrees C on either, the laptop may be thermally throttling. (Not the end of the world; there are many things you can do to keep temps down.)

Yea did all of that Firestrike crashes also the temps are fine it doesn’t go pass 67 degrees if the fire strike somehow manage to finish you do see slight artifact but it’s gets a score like 96.8 percent my cpu temps are fine as well

but what I’m wondering since it’s an old laptop could it be because I repaste and did not change the thermal pads if this could be causing this issue as well. I would’ve easily change them now but this damn laptop I have to strip every thing out, so that’s why I’m curious before I go ahead and do that.

Yeah your temps are fine, I hate to tell you bad news but it really sounds like a failing card but what charles said was the next step you could also try furmark and test for stability using that but it really sounds like failing vram....are you getting arftifacts?

I get a few artifacts maybe on one or two loops on firestrike on Crysis haven’t seen any, so even if I replace the thermal pads on the vram that won’t help ?

Never seen any artifacts on fur mark but I do see it have one next to power when running fur mark so maybe it’s power limiting but those options are locked off in this card can’t control anything voltage wise

    Furmark Result
Duration of test : 30 mins
    Temp - 69
    Max Frame Rate 58
    Artifact - 0

Furmark isn't a realistic test. 3DMark or actual gaming are better.

So do you have any further issues ...temps are fine and you said games run fine. It doesn't seem like there's a reason for you to tear apart your laptop again.

Apex only run if I underclock the gpu memory without crashing so the real question is if I should reopen and redo the thermal pads maybe that’s causing the problem. ?

You might want to try one of the owner's lounge threads in our Alienware 13 /15 / 17 forum at this point, ask if anyone else has experienced this.
They would know best if the thermal pads need changing.

One other thing Charles it never fails the sky diver benchmark it normally pass that with 98.1 percent firestrike is the only one that fails.
