That should be fine as long as they take orders at August.

The current gen P870DM, P775DM1, P770DM, P750DM all have HDMI 2.0 output. I can confirm this with my laptop as well so you should be good to go with the next wave of laptops. ;)

Well I can assure you it happens so rarely that I've never noticed it becoming choppy when displaying 60fps. It looks the same as any of the lesser resolution displays I've had in the past when displaying 60Hz. No need to worry about it, honest :)

Still, my next laptop will not be 4K because I'd prefer to have a G-SYNC capable display and as far as I know G-SYNC is incompatible with 4K in laptops because it needs 75Hz+.

Apologies for going a bit off topic, but how is the Sharp IGZO panel treating you? I'm expecting my P750DM with it and I know its beautiful but I'd like to hear from an actual owner :)

How important is g-sync? I mean, I couln't test that technology it and I want a full gaming laptop, that's why I'm waiting for Pascal...

It does not need 75hz+. The 4K display for the P870DM and P775DM1 (even the 4K display on the P750DM) all support G-SYNC now.

Just to add, only the Samsung 4K panel supports g-sync as far as I am aware.
